Making ChurchPro Run Under Vista
Do This First! Turn off User Account Controls in Vista.
1. Click the “round Windows Start” button.
2. Click “Control Panel”
3. Double Click “User Accounts”
4. Click “Turn User Account Control on or off”
5. Uncheck “Use User Account Control (UAC) to help protect your computer”.
6. Click “OK”
7. When prompted to restart your computer click “Restart Now”
8. Click the “ChurchPro” icon to open ChurchPro.
9. Reboot your system. Turn it off. Wait a couple minutes. Turn it back on.
10. Double click the icon on the desktop
Set the Path In the BDE (Vista 64 bit users only)
1. Click Start | Control Panel
2. Click classic view.
3. Double click BDE
Administrator.
Note Vista 64 bit user: This icon will be in the 32 bit icons in Control Panel
4. Click the “Configuration” tab.
5. Click the + by Drivers
6. Click the + by native
7. Click the on the word “Paradox”
8. Click in the Net Dir field in the right window.
9. Type C:\ChurchPro
10. Make sure the ChurchPro folder is a writable folder. Right click on it.
11. Left click Properties. Uncheck Ready Only then apply.
12. Double click the ChurchPro Icon on the desktop
If the person using ChurchPro is not the administrator, you will need to grant full rights to the ChurchPro200X folder for all users.
Download the Win32help file from the Microsoft website and install it.
